My name is Len Bettendorf, and my lifelong work has been in public service. My passion is to help others and improve processes and equipment that make jobs easier and safer. Continue reading to learn more about Phantom Spikes.
Career Timeline
In 1991, I graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in justice studies.
In 1992, I entered the U.S. Air Force as a second lieutenant intelligence officer. I served for seven years and then moved back to Arizona, where I started a security guard and patrol business.
In 2001, I began my service to my local community as a police officer in a medium-sized metropolitan department just outside of Phoenix. I served in this position until 2021.
In 2004, I also started with the Arizona Air National Guard.
In 2008, I graduated with a master's in military operational art and science. I served in the Air Guard until 2021, when I retired with 24 years of total military service as a Lieutenant Colonel.
I decided to use my police experience and went into business offering police equipment and other supplies. In 2010, I started a business called Phantom Spikes under the parent company of End-X Systems®. I assisted in the development of a much-improved line of tire deflation devices called Phantom Spikes.
Since I retired from the police department and the military, I now devote all of my time to managing Phantom Spikes. Day-to-day, I act as General Manager, where I oversee all aspects of the business. I also personally respond to all inquiries about our products.
